Very reliable. The Ladeboy has been on the market for over 30 years and can truly be considered a mature and proven system. The Ladeboy S2 has been in use for almost 20 years. The components are largely identical (apart from dimensional differences), including those used in the Scooterboy.Of course, all systems undergo extensive testing in advance. We strictly adhere to automotive industry standards. For example, the swing door and sliding door have been tested in tens of thousands of cycles, following the rigorous testing procedures applied by leading vehicle manufacturers for original car doors.

In case of a failure, manual emergency control switches are installed, so you can remain mobile until the repair.

Upon request, we will gladly send you a photo of your vehicle. You can also find inspiration on our YouTube channel, as well as on Instagram or Facebook.

Anyone with a disability expected to last longer than six months and who relies on the use of a motor vehicle to reach their workplace, training location, or other vocational education services is entitled to vehicle assistance and, in principle, also to financing for a disability-friendly vehicle conversion.

Even if you do not drive yourself but are transported by a third party, you may still be entitled to vehicle assistance. The same applies if you are the parent of a disabled child.

The health insurance is generally not responsible for financing vehicle modifications. For those in employment (workers/employees) and those undergoing vocational training/retraining, the following applies:

Federal Employment Agency: with less than 15 years of compulsory social insurance employment

German Pension Insurance:with at least 15 years of compulsory social insurance employment

• Integration Office: in cases of self-employment, civil servant status, or unclear jurisdiction

If you are not employed and are not in training, support for mobility may still be possible, for example, for everyday travel or leisure activities. These services can be granted as part of integration assistance for social participation. The exact amount of funding can vary depending on the case. Regional social services are often responsible; the jurisdiction varies by federal state.

Important: The approval from the cost bearer must be obtained before signing a contract with a converter or with us.

Yes, thanks to the quick-release fasteners on the Ladeboy and Liftfriend, it is relatively easy. Both systems can be removed in about 10 minutes.

For the S2 and Scooterboy, retrofitting is technically possible, but it is rarely economically viable due to the high investment costs.

Each vehicle is unique, so our wheelchair loading systems are also customized for each specific vehicle.A smooth vehicle change is therefore usually only realistic with identical or very similar successor models (e.g., facelift).

Please note: When changing vehicles, costs for disassembly and reinstallation in the new vehicle will arise, just like with other loading aids.

Each of our systems is individually tailored to the respective vehicle. This means there are over 400 different configurations, which means that a Ladeboy from a Volkswagen Caddy does not automatically fit into a Volkswagen Polo or a Toyota RAV4.

We strongly advise against purchasing a used Ladeboy, as the condition of the devices is difficult to assess remotely. If you still wish to take the risk, we recommend that you at least inspect the device on-site.

The trend towards electric folding wheelchairs is increasing significantly. Due to the high weight of these wheelchairs, loading ramps into the trunk are often difficult to operate. Therefore, at Rausch Technik, we have developed specific mounts for many vehicle brands and models to make transporting your electric folding wheelchair as easy as possible. Feel free to see for yourself:

Loading an electric folding wheelchair with the Ladeboy S2 is only possible in vehicles with sliding doors, as the wheelchairs are often very wide and the openings of hatchbacks, station wagons, and sedans are usually not large enough.

Yes, our loading systems are compatible with both the e-fix drive and e-motion. It is important that theloading with the S2, adheres to the vehicle-specific maximum folding dimensions.

When loading in the trunk in a lying position, the folding dimensions are also crucial. For the e-motion drive, we have developed a special mount in the LADEBOY trunk to prevent damage to the drive.

Note: With the e-fix drive, the battery must be removed from the bag before loading. You can request a special battery holder for the e-fix from us or through one of our installation partners. This allows the battery to be loaded as well.

Of course, you can also have your loading system upgraded by us afterwards. However, the upgrade can only be done at our location in Balingen. Please plan for 3–4 business days for this.

Frequently Asked Questions - Ladeboy

Yes, the Ladeboy trunk is installed on a vehicle-specific plate that is secured to the vehicle's tie-down points with straps. This means: We do not perform any bodywork, and you can remove the Ladeboy along with the installation kit in about 10 minutes.

Note: The Ladeboy is quite heavy. It is advisable to have a second person assist with carrying it.

You can see an example image here:

The seats are not removed. The installation kit and the Ladeboy extend over the folded seat, including the wheelchair.

Since the Ladeboy is not permanently screwed in and can be removed in about 10 minutes, the seats can be used in their original form without any issues when not in use.

The conversion takes about 4-5 hours.

Yes, certain folding wheelchairs, such as the Ergoflix LX, can be loaded unfolded. However, we need a sufficiently high trunk to accommodate the larger space requirements of the unfolded wheelchair. Therefore, only high-roof station wagons or vans are generally suitable for this type of loading.

No, a rigid tow hitch prevents the loading assistant from unloading your wheelchair from the trunk.

With the loading assistant, you need to secure your wheelchair using a lever afterward. You can see this process in the video below starting at second 11. The effort is minimal and increases with the weight of the wheelchair.

Due to the installation kit secured to the loading floor, you cannot access the storage space underneath without removing the installation kit. Therefore, we recommend storing only items there that you rarely need but still want to keep in the car. Removing the installation kit takes about 10 minutes.

You can see a sample image here:

Frequently Asked Questions - Liftfriend

The Liftfriend is ergonomically one of the most comfortable loading aids and requires almost no effort. However, it has two basic requirements for the wheelchair:

  • The folded dimension (from grip wheel to grip wheel) should not exceed 36 cm.

  • The tilt supports should be able to fold inward. Rigid tilt supports prevent loading with the Liftfriend.

We estimate about 6 hours for the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions - Ladeboy S2

For a vehicle with a swing door, the conversion can take between 10 and 14 days. For vehicles with a sliding door, the effort is reduced to 3 to 5 days.

Yes, there is often a very practical solution that many of our customers use:

Many customers use a loading aid in the trunk and additionally use a walker to get from the driver's seat to the trunk and back. The walker is then folded and stored, for example, behind the driver's or passenger's seat. This way, loading remains manageable despite the lack of remaining walking ability to the trunk.

The installation of a swing door is significantly more complex than the installation of a sliding door drive. Therefore, the swing door is more labor-intensive, which is reflected in the installation time and thus also in the price. In terms of quality, both doors are of course equally high.

Our standard partition wall serves as a safety barrier and significantly reduces the kinetic energy of the wheelchair in the event of an accident. This keeps the passenger on the rear seat protected.

In some vehicles, we cannot split the bench seat, so it is generally not possible to maintain a single seat.

Furthermore, taller vehicles like SUVs require a larger retraction. This also makes the LADEBOY S2 as a base unit longer, so in these cases, a seat is often not available.

The swivel module is only available in vehicles with sliding doors. Since it was primarily designed to maintain an additional seat, it is especially useful for folded wheelchairs. An unfolded wheelchair would typically take up more than one seat, despite the swivel module.

For this, we have developed the Faltboy. It allows you to fold the wheelchair with about 90% less effort. This way, you can also drive a smaller car and load your wheelchair folded.

Send us or your installation partner pictures of your wheelchair from the front and back. Then we can schedule a video appointment and explore the options together.

Of course. The only important thing is that the vehicle-specific wheelchair dimensions are adhered to and your wheelchair weighs under 38kg.

If you choose a vehicle with an electric sliding door, the price is the most favorable, as you only pay for the device and its installation.

Frequently Asked Questions - Scooterboy

We estimate around 10 hours for the conversion.

You can load scooters, depending on the vehicle, up to a maximum of 142 cm in length, 110 cm in height, and 82 cm in width. The compatibility check will give you a more accurate picture for your vehicle. If you have any questions, we are happy to assist you.

Depending on the platform length of the Scooterboy, the number of remaining seats varies. In the Volkswagen Caddy 5 Maxi, for example, we can retain the entire rear bench with a platform length of 120 cm.

No, since we anchor the Scooterboy firmly in the vehicle, we make modifications to the body. The removal of the Scooterboy is possible in about half an hour.

Frequently asked questions -Doors

For the electric sliding door, we estimate between 10 and 20 hours depending on the vehicle. For the swing door, installation times range from 30 to 60 hours depending on the vehicle.

Yes, you can also purchase them individually.

Due to the electrification of the sliding door, no seat is lost. With the installation of the swing door, a seating plan is no longer usable after installation.

We can install the swing door in almost all four-door vehicles.

The sliding door is available for most vehicles.

As a rule, we only do not have a solution if the vehicle already has a factory-fitted electric sliding door. For example, we do not offer a door drive for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. One exception is the Ford Custom II, for which we offer an electric retrofit solution.

Frequently Asked Questions -Faltboy

The conversion is wheelchair-specific and therefore difficult to estimate. Including delivery and return, three days are usually to be planned.

Unfortunately no, the technical feasibility must always be checked on a case-by-case basis. Please send us photos of your wheelchair so we can make an assessment.
